Split Pea Soup


  • Bacon – 140 gms.
  • Onion – 1 No.
  • Garlic cloves – 4 nos.
  • Carrots – 170 gms.
  • Green Split Peas – 425 gms.
  • Water – 470 ml.
  • Chicken Stock – 950 ml.
  • Spring Onion and Fresh herbs


  1. Cut the bacon and carrots into pieces. Chop the onion and garlic.
  2. Sear the bacon in a pot until crispy before adding the onion and garlic. Add the carrots to the pot when onions are soft.
  3. Add the peas and cover with the chicken stock and water.
  4. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 25 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with spring onion and fresh herbs before serving.
