Snoop Dogg has really got a good name in the food world in last few years. From collaboration with Dunkin’ to make sandwich to co-hosting a dinner party show with Martha Steward herself, and even holds a Guiness World Record for mixing the world’s largest gin and juice. Now, the latest news is, he will seen releasing his own wine brand this summer.
Snoop Cali Red is the debut wine release of Snoop’s multi-year partnership with the Australian wine brand 19 Crimes, a line of wines that feature the “convicts-turned-colonists” who built Australia. The wine is being promoted as the brand’s first California wine. It features Snoop’s face on the label. The red wine blend includes 65 percent Petite Syrah, 30 percent Zinfandel, and 5 percent Merlot for $12 a bottle.
Snoop Dogg, obviously, wasn’t one of the people who built Australia, but his addition aims to bring a more modern-day element to the brand’s wine selection. “Snoop embodies the spirit of 19 Crimes–rule breaking, culture creating and overcoming adversity,” marketing vice president of the Americas for Treasury Wine Estates John Wardley said in an announcement.
